Concert Preview: YACHT @ The Crocodile 2/8

DFA dance-punk legends YACHT are playing a show this Wednesday, February 8, at the Crocodile. But if you go, be careful - you might join a cult.

The band has been freaking us out for years now. Their newest album Shangri-La was a 10 track trial by fire through the wacky YACHT philosophy (if you are interested, they wrote a book on it). Their songs are so catchy and fun that oftentimes, you might disregard the lyrics, but know that YACHT is as deep as they are danceable. Their songs will haunt your thoughts for days and make you perceive about the world through a veil of obscurity. Is YACHT starting a new religion? It’s possible. Are they going to rock out on Wednesday night and get the Crocodile dancing until it is humanly impossible to continue? Most definitely.
