  • Sigur Rós has emerged from hibernation and will play their first show since 2008 at Bestival on the Isle of Wight in the UK. They’ve announced that there will be more tour dates via their web site.
  • Besides appearing at Sasquatch this year, Explosions in the Sky have announced other US tour dates. Check them out here.

  • Veteran fuzz-rockers The Jesus and Mary Chain announced a few shows to coincide with SXSW in March. This will be the first time the Reid brothers have performed since 2008.
  • Sleigh Bells will appear as musical guest on SNL next weekend, 2/18, to anticipate the 2/21 release of Reign Of Terror.

  • The Walkmen have started recording their new record. This time they’re holed up with Phil Ek somewhere just out of Seattle. Check out the interview via stereogum.
