Live Around Town This Week

With KEXP and just about everyone else down in Austin this week, Seattle slows down just a little bit, but there’s still some good music choices for those of us staying behind. On Tuesday, Balkan Beat Box are at the Showbox at the Market, and Saul Williams is at Neumo’s. If you happen to be in Austin for SXSW on Friday, you could go to the amazing “SxSeattle Party” with Allen Stone, My Goodness, Pickwick, Craft Spells, The Young Evils, The Horde and the Harem, Don’t Talk To The Cops!, and Fly Moon Royalty - all at the Palm Door! Locally on Friday, Head Like A Kite, Daydream Vacation, NighTrain, and Sports are at Crocodile, The RaincoatsGrass Widow, M. Women are at Chop Suey, Seun Kuti & The Egypt 80, Afromassive, and DJ DMZ are all at Neumo’s, Country Lips, Wayfinders, and Ole Tinder are at Comet Tavern, and St. Paul de Vence is at the Cypress Lounge in Bellevue. Saturday is a fantastic day for shows with Vetiver, Gold Leaves, and Cumulus at Columbia City Theater, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic are at Showbox at the Market, Stew & The Negro Problem are at Neptune Theatre, and last but not least, Summer Babes, Le Sang Song, The Torn ACLs, DJ Rob Z are all at the Blue Moon.
