This weekend and next, you can hear a live performances directly from Jazz Fest, courtesy of our friends and fellow non-profit broadcasters WWOZ.
Although there is plenty of traditional New Orleans music to be heard, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival features a widely diverse gathering of arts over seven days, with everyone from rock icons like Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, The Beach Boys, and The Eagles to modern alternative artists like Feist, Bon Iver and Florence + the Machine to local superstars like Allen Toussaint, Ellis Marsalis, Galactic and The Neville Brothers. You can check out a full lineup here.
New Orleans station WWOZ will be broadcasting both weekends -- April 27, 28, April 29 and May 3, 4, 5, & 6 -- highlighting much of the local talent. Find out more about their broadcast schedule here and get more information on Jazz Fest in general here.
