Live Around Town This Week

We’ve got another great week of shows in Seattle, with a ton of variety. This is a city where you can see a good show just about every night of the week, and this one is no exception. Starting on Monday night, we’ve got some great Northwest connections back in town with former Fleet Fox Josh Tillman’s new project, Father John Misty, performing at Neumos. On Tuesday, there’s a psych fest at Neumos with Black Moth Super Rainbow, Lumerians, and Pictorials. The Black Keys and Arctic Monkeys play a big time rock show at Key Arena, while Amelie soundtrack composer Yann Tiersen is at Showbox at the Market. On Wednesday, Brite Lines, Pocket Panda, and Pomerantz are at the Tractor, and The Drums, Craft Spells, and Part Time are at Neumos. And the hits just keep coming. On Thursday night, Jack Wilson, Davidson Hart Kingsbery, and Jackrabbit are at Tractor, and we’ve got shows upstairs and downstairs at Neumos: Beach Fossils, Mac DeMarco, and Seapony at Neumos upstairs, and Night Beats, Unnatural Helpers, and The Maxines at Barboza downstairs. The weekend kicks off on Friday night with the first of two nights with The Maldives and The Moondoggies at Tractor Tavern, Rosie Thomas and Ivan & Alyosha are at Neptune Theatre, Laura Veirs and Cataldo are at Columbia City Theater, Black Dice, Jabon, and Uncle Pooch are at Sunset Tavern, and Allo Darlin’ and The Wave Pictures are at Vera Project. We’re not even close to being down with the awesomeness. On Saturday night, the “X-35 Tour” rolls into Seattle with X and The Suicide Notes at Showbox at the Market, Bassnectar, Ghostland Observatory, VibeSquaD, and Mr. Projectile are all at WaMu Theater, Alcoholic Faith Mission, You Won’t, and Cumulus are at Comet Tavern, and Day 2 of The Maldives and The Moondoggies at the Tractor. To round out the week, on Sunday night we’ve got maybe one of the most anticipated shows of the Spring with Death Cab For Cutie, The Magik Magik Orchestra, and Youth Lagoon at the Paramount Theatre. Suckers are at Neumo’s, and River Giant, Plant Party, and The Parade Schedule are at Columbia City Theater.
