Local songwriter Lindsay Fuller stopped by KEXP at the end of March several days after the release of her newest album, You, Anniversary. Along with other Seattle music luminaries Jeff Fielder, Rebecca Young, Mark Pickerel, and Jason Staczek, Lindsay performed a beautiful set of new material that you can watch below. Lindsay Fuller’s music falls in the same vein as Gillian Welch, with her heavy and soulful folk style that demands the listener process it and take it in. Fuller writes of life and death and the process of telling one’s own story well. Her songs are heavy-hearted and full of all kinds of emotions. All of this is made unbelievably evident in the live setting. Fuller’s voice and presence is haunting in the studio and she commands the group with ease. Lindsay Fuller will be back in Seattle on May 18 to play a show at the Tractor Tavern. Her album You, Anniversary is out now on ATO Records. Check out her performance at KEXP from March below:
