It’s Memorial Day Weekend which means one thing: Sasquatch Music Festival! That’s right, it’s the Northwest’s big start of the Spring/Summer music festival season and a fantastic opportunity to see some amazing live music at a one of the best outdoor music venues in the country. Come say hello to some of your favorite KEXP personalities all weekend long! Seattle will clear out during the weekend, but we’ve got some great shows during the week too. On Tuesday, Best Coast and Jeff The Brotherhood are at Neptune Theatre, Bad Veins and The Awfully Sudden Death of Martha G play the hottest new venue in town, Barboza. The Avengers, Pansy Division, and Industry People play at the Fun House. On Wednesday night, Deadstring Brothers and James Apollo are at Sunset Tavern, Michael Vermillion, Betsy Olson, and The Brambles are at Tractor, and Julia Holter and Jib Kidder are at Barboza. On Thursday, Unnatural Helpers and Detective Agency are at Rendezvous, Jon Dee Graham, Simon Kornelis, and Mike June are at Columbia City Theater, and Mad Rad play what’s sure to be a crazy show at Barboza @ Neumo’s. On Friday, there are a few local shows like Mahogany, Erik Blood, and USF at the Comet Tavern, The Dusty 45’s, Shane Tutmarc, and The Whisky Swillers at Tractor, and Jack Wilson, Low Land High, and The Lusitania at Sunset Tavern. It’s also the start of Sasquatch Music Festival and the first of four days of music bliss. We just hope the weather holds out for us! KEXP will be there all weekend — look for the booth and come say hello! Here’s the schedule of recommended shows for the week:
