  • Following some festival appearances and a locomotive-powered tour with Skrillex and Diplo, Grimes will be embarking on her own tour with Myths and Elite Gymnastics. On the appropriately titled The Mythical Gymnastics Tour, she’ll spend most of September and October trekking through North America, including a stop at Doug Fir Lounge in Portland on October 15.
  • LCD Soundsystem‘s swan song concert at Madison Square Garden is bound to go down as one of the defining musical moments of the lst ten years, For those of us who weren’t able to make it to New York last April, the documentary Shut Up And Play The Hits is the next best thing. Following bandleader James Murphy for two days surrounding the show, Seattle’s Cinerama will host a one night only showing of the film on July 18th. You can watch a clip from the movie below, before it inevitably comes out on DVD.

  • Wanting to flex his cinematic muscles alongside his musical ones, Dave Longstreth and Dirty Projectors have released a music video for their most recent single “Gun Has No Trigger.” Directed by Longstreth, the video features bandmembers Haley Dekly and Amber Coffman alongside Longstreth in some kind of trippy iPod commercial. Watch it below, and perhaps make the video a realization by listening to their new album, Swing Lo Magellan, on your iPod when it comes out on July 10 via Domino.

  • R-rated crooner/sometimes Odd Future associate Frank Ocean is preparing to follow up his debut mixtape Nostalgia.Ultra with the release of his full-fledged debut album, Channel Orange, on July 17th through Def Jam. He’s released a teaser trailer (watch it below), but other than that, there’s no news on a track listing, guests or a tour. (Expect all three soon though.)
