Thursday Music News

  • Ariel Pink scared the Internet last week by saying that he broke up Haunted Graffiti. But his publicist has responded by saying there is no truth in the statement and the current incarnation of Haunted Graffiti will indeed tour with Pink in support of the new album Mature Themes. Speaking of which, Pink released the album art for Mature Themes today (as seen above) as well as the tracklist for the album. His cover of Donnie and Joe Emerson’s “Baby” does appear on the album as the last track.
  • Chris Baio’s Sunburn EP as Baio came out last week just in time for summertime drives and barbecues, and now the track “Sunburn Modern” has a sunny video to go along with it, directed by Aramique. Watch it below:

  • Kanye West has announced that the G.O.O.D. Music collaborative album will be out in stores on August 7. The album is entitled Cruel Summer and will feature contributions by Frank Ocean, Jay Electronica, Big Sean, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, and more. We’ve already heard the 1st single “Mercy” – hopefully, the rest of the album will feature more of the same.
