Pickathon 2012 is only a little over a month away, but you can start planning your weekend right now! The schedule for the Portland, Oregon event was released this morning, and alongside the set times for all of its great acts, they’ve announced a slew of previously unannounced non-musical activities to make this year’s Pickathon unlike any other.
Set across six stages and three days, the festival will feature sets from Neko Case, Dr. Dog, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Blitzen Trapper, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars, and Heartless Bastards among others. Some of the non-musical activities include daily yoga, performances from the guerilla circus troupe Circus Cascadia, and a collaboration with Portland Playhouse to present a nightly music-based reinterpretation of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night that will include festival performers Laura Gibson, Casey MacGill, and Bruce Molsky playing the part of Feste, the play’s minstrel.
Alongside the release of the schedule, festival organizers have put a limited number of single day passes on sale as well. More info and pricing can be found at the tickets page of the Pickathon website and the full schedule can be found here.
