Frank Ocean performs Friday at Showbox

A great week of shows ahead. Starting on Monday night, we’ve got the first two night with Codeine at the Triple Door, On Tuesday The Young Evils play a free in-store show at Easy Street Records in Queen Anne, while James Hunter and Jesse Dee settle in for the first of two nights at Jazz Alley. Wednesday night, Kid Hops joins Reggae legends Toots and the Maytals at the Showbox, and on Thursday there’s the first of many Free Summer Concerts at City Hall - this one with Wheedles Groove. Friday night has lots of action, starting with a sold out Frank Ocean show at the Showbox. There’s also Campfire Ok, Prism Tats, Koko and the Sweetmeats, along with DJ Jacob James at Crocodile, expect all sorts of craziness with The Spits, Mean Jeans, and Monogamy Party at Chop Suey, The Young Evils are at Barboza @ Neumos, Black Whales, The West, and Posse are at the Tractor, and Irma Thomas starts the first of two nights at the Triple Door. On Saturday, Ray Davies and The 88 are at Neptune Theatre, Atomic Bride, The Valley, Sleep Capsule, and Connerys are all at Comet Tavern, and Daniel G. Harmann and the Trouble Starts, and Spanish For 100 are at Sunset Tavern. Sunday night, Sola Rosa and Irukandji and the Physics of Fusion are at the Nectar.
