The Vaccines are back at it with a new EP out this week called No Hope. In typical form for these witty post-punk slackers, the single is delightfully catchy and full of great tongue-in-cheek lines about growing up and feeling disenchanted. “I could bore with the truth about an uneventful youth or you could get that wrap from someone else.” It’s an overdramatic satire on the self-absorbed pit of angst that is being a teenager with a catchy guitar riff. Listen to it below:
This is the first new music we’ve seen from the Vaccines since December’s Charlie Sheen influenced single “Tiger Blood”. The EP is now out on iTunes, along with the B-side “Blow Your Mind” and several live versions of “No Hope”. It is the first taste we’re getting from their new material. The rest of it will be out in the form of a new album on October 2!

Seriously looking forward to “Come of Age” in October. “Teenage Icon” is one of my favorite new songs- haven’t stopped watching the video since it came out: http://vevo.ly/MFQUkD
