
You might have already heard by now, but experimental group Animal Collective stopped by The Cutting Room Studios in NYC to perform a set for KEXP last week, What you might not have known is that Noah (Panda Bear) and Brian (Geologist) sat down with KEXP’s DJ El Toro to answer a few questions ahead of the September release of Centipede Hz, their forthcoming and tenth studio album. Take a listen as they discuss topics including the influence of radio signals on their music, the reason the songs on the Honeycomb/Gotham 7″ aren’t on the album, and how the writing process of Centipede Hz contained a section of music designated “the Rick Springfield Jam”.
