  • It’s about time that Ben Gibbard release a proper solo album! After years and years with Death Cab For Cutie, side projects like All-Time Quarterback and The Postal Service, Gibbard is releasing his debut solo record on Barsuk Records on October 15. The release will be followed by a short supporting tour. For us in Seattle, that means we’ll almost assuredly be given a chance to see Gibbard preform his new material firsthand.
  • Hot Chip have collaborated with filmaker Danny Perez (director of Animal Collective film ODDSAC and designer of live visuals for Black Dice) to make a video for the In Our Heads track “Look At Where We Are”. The video is a take on the Frankenstein story, of sorts. While it is a bit creepy and very trippy, it maintains an adorable flair throughout. Watch it below, and listen to the Major Lazer remix of “Look At Where We Are” here. Tickets are still available to see Hot Chip when they come to Seattle with YACHT on September 15! Grab them here.

  • Atoms For Peace, the side project of Thom Yorke, Flea, and Nigel Godrich, is to release a remix single featuring a remix of Other Lives song “Tamer Animals”, and the band remixing their own track “Other Side”. It will be out at the end of the month! Listen to the Other Lives remix here.
  • Swedish electronic mastermind The Field has a free new track out via the Adult Swim Singles Series. Don’t question it! Just go grab the new track “Comenius Garden” here. In typical style, it’s an 8-minute looping epic that you can lose yourself in for what feels like days.
  • Canadian producer How To Dress Well has been slowly feeding us tracks from his upcoming sophomore record Total Loss. Today we have another one! “Cold Nites” is a cold, darker-tinged track with a solid groove throughout. The rest of the album on September 18!
