Live Around Town This Week

We hope you’ve got a little bit of energy left from the Block Party weekend to enjoy some great shows this week.  On Monday, there’s a highly anticipated show at the Showbox with two amazing bands: Dirty Projectors and Wye Oak. On Wednesday, Big K.R.I.T., Casey Veggies, Big Sant, and Tito Lopez shake things up at Neumos, and Seattle favorites The xx play at Showbox at the Market with Jacques Greene. On Thursday, Pierced Arrows are at Comet Tavern, and Shannon Stephens and Her Fabulous Friends play the Tractor Tavern. The weekend starts off with quite a few choices, like Magic Trick, La Sera, and Foxygen downstairs at Barboza, The Maldives over on the East side at Redmond Town Center, Lost Lander, Prism Tats, and Janell Kallander at the Columbia City Theater, St. Paul de Vence, Tenderfoot, and Gina Alibrio at Skylark Cafe, and STAG, Dirty Sidewalks, and The Moonspinners all at Sunset Tavern. On Saturday night, there’s a really cool show with Peaking Lights at Barboza, and KEXP + Starbucks + STG present Little Big Show #3, a benefit for NFFTY, featuring Dum Dum Girls and Craft Spells at Neptune Theatre. On Sunday, Brothers From Another, Dave B, and Shelton Harris are at Crocodile, Indians are at Barboza, and Maxi Priest, Rankin Joe, Blue Meadows Band, ZJ Redman, and DJ Chuckie are at Neumos.
