The initial lineup for the 2012 Heineken City Arts Fest has been announced, and it’s packed with a diverse range of acts that will be sure to fill up the numerous venues taking part in this year’s activities. Alongside the already announced headlining show from David Byrne and St. Vincent, the festival will host performances from Ghostland Observatory (two shows), Two Door Cinema Club, Joshua Radin, Collie Buddz, A Fine Frenzy, Brother Ali with Blank Tape Beloved, EOTO, Lost in the Trees, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, The Maldives, Lemolo, and many more.
In additon to the music, the 2012 iteraton of the festival will feature a curated collection of art programs entitled the Urban Arts Adventure. Featuring work by Danielle Agami, Erin Joergensen, and Jesse Higman, among others, the program will allow festival attendees to experience art shows in non-traditional venues and secret and unexpected locations. The festival will also feature art installations, exhibits, crowd sourced filmmaking, curated happy hours, a pop-up art market, surprise performances and late night parties. Discounted all-access wristbands will go on sale next Thursday, August 2nd.
