Concerts at the Mural: No Depression Night this Friday!

The new season of Concerts at the Mural, presented by KEXP and Seattle Center, starts this Friday evening. We’ve been pimping this series of FREE concerts for a while, but we’re really excited that it kicks off at the Mural Amphitheater with No Depression Night. It’s our second year partnering with the venerable No Depression website, and the lineup is stellar!

Shovels and Rope

These events have always been a proving ground for new artists (remember when The Joy Formidable, Japandroids, and Pickwick each played?), and Friday’s headliners Shovels & Rope will be another one you’ll be talking about for a long time to come. The Charleston, South Carolina, duo have been creating a big buzz with their debut, O’ Be Joyful, and their fiery live shows (check out No Depression’s review of their very recent show in Oregon)

Sallie Ford & the Sound Outside is no stranger to KEXP. The Portland based artist, with her unique voice and old school sound, is sure to make fans holler and shout.

Seattle group Legendary Oaks fills out the the evening with a full rootsy sound, and the soulful Fly Moon Royalty start off the night.
