During the Capitol Hill Block Party, many of the bands who played Barboza used the venue’s acoustics to amplify the punch of their electric guitars, but Seattle’s Gold Leaves took a different approach - the Grant Olsen led group allowed their glittering strums and echoing voices resonate throughout the hall. Each element carefully arranged and precisely executed, Gold Leaves’ set was an exercise in tasteful restraint that served as a gorgeous contrast to many of CHBP’s louder sets.
