Join us tonight for the final installment of the 2012 Concerts at the Mural series, presented by Seattle Center and KEXP, featuring BOAT, Reptar, and Fresh Espresso.
Headlining tonight’s show is Seattle’s own Fresh Espresso. A collaboration between Mad Rad’s P Smoov and local MC Rik Rude, Fresh Espresso combines quick, clean rhymes and unbelievably catchy synths drenched in cool to produce some of the freshest and most original hip-hop coming out of Seattle these days. Check out their performance of the incredibly addictive “Laserbeams” live on KEXP below:
Athens, Georgia natives Reptar live sets are famous for the incredibly large and captivating stage presence these four guys bring with their charming blend of indie-pop. Despite being named after the classic Rugrats character, the band’s music is anything but childish, regardless of how sweet it sounds, packing a powerful punch into their chilled out sound. Check out Reptar performing their song “Sebastian” live on KEXP below:
Having been dubbed “The Funnest Band in the Universe” by the Portland Mercury, Seattle-based BOAT does a pretty good job living up to their reputation. Known for their quirky, grin-inducing songs, it’s pretty unlikely that anyone has ever had a bad time at one of their shows. This alone should be incentive enough to get you to the Seattle Center tonight, but if you’re still not convinced, check out BOAT performing their song “Classically Trained” live on KEXP below:
Show starts at 5:30 at the Seattle Center. See you soon.
