This Thursday night, you have a wonderful opportunity set before you. Divine Fits, the supergroup brainchild of Spoon’s Britt Daniel and Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner, and Sam Brown of New Turk Bombs, are playing a show at the Crocodile. THE CROCODILE! You get to see these heroes of the indie rock scene jam out together and play tunes from their bafflingly awesome new album A Thing Called Divine Fits at one of Seattle’s most intimate venues. And seriously, this album is crazy good. Just listen to the two singles:
Currently, Divine Fits may be the best kept secret on the music scene. But they won’t be for long! Their record is out this week and front to back, it’s incredible. Boeckner and Daniel switch off of the vocals song to song (collaborating on a track or two), but the Divine Fits sound is wonderfully continuous. Obviously, you can expect influence from the prior work of each member, but on top, each track is lightly seasoned with a bit of new wave and a whole lot of pop magic.
Each of these bands is known for their live show. So together, Divine Fits live will be... well... divine! Cancel your plans Thursday night and take a dancing partner with you to the Crocodile. You can grab tickets here! It’s all ages!
And if for some reason you can’t make it to this one, then go here instead.
