Barely a day after the end of Seattle’s Bumbershoot it’s time to head south to the wonderful city of Portland, OR for their own annual Musicfest Northwest. Beginning yesterday evening with performances from Passion Pit, Against Me, and The Hot Snakes, the festival, which takes place across the entire city, features over 170 bands across 18 of Portland’s favorite venues. KEXP will be broadcasting live from The Doug Fir Lounge all weekend long with live performances from bands including Dinosaur Jr., Purity Ring, Menomena, and the Hives.
