- Mount Eerie released their second video in six weeks yesterday, which doesn’t sound that remarkable until you consider it’s only Phil Elvrum’s second video ever. “Ocean Roar,” the title track off the new album, features a bunch of blurry kaleidoscope-looking landscapes and faces, basically a perfect visual representation of of the distant yet familiar song. - Atoms For Peace, Thom Yorke’s side-project featuring fellow Radiohead band member Nigel Goodrich and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Nigel Goodrich, has released a new single on iTunes titled “Default” which will be available September 10 via XL Records. The group also recently released a remix album in August which you can read more about over at Pitchfork.
Flying Lotus has released a new short video in anticipation of his forthcoming album Until the Quiet Comes, due out October 2 via Warp. The dark, bloody, and sometimes underwater music video is set to the soundtrack of the new album. Check out the beautiful video, directed by Kahlil Joseph, below:
Fresh off an EP and a couple of singles, up-and-coming LA punk band FIDLAR (which stands for “Fuck it, dog, life’s a risk”) have released a new track off their forthcoming debut album. “Cheap Beer” is pretty much the epitome of surf/garage/punk/rock and features the chorus “I drink cheap beer, so what, fuck you.” Check it out below, and be sure to catch FIDLAR on tour as they open for The Hives.
