Live Around Town This Week

We can sum up the somewhat short list of shows this week as follows: all killer, no filler. Starting at the Showbox at the Market on Monday night with Iration & The Expendables and Cisco Adler. Tuesday, Animal Collective and Micachu & The Shapes are at Paramount Theatre, Bob Mould plays Copper Blue and Silver Age at Showbox at the Market , Sweden’s Holograms are at Barboza with FF, and James McMurtry and The Gourds are at Neptune Theatre. On Wednesday,  Orgone and Polyrythmics are at the Crocodile with Special Guests, Ladyhawke and American Royalty are at Barboza, and Rubblebucket and Reptar are at Neumos. Thursday night, Poor Moon, Tom Eddy, and Pollens are at Neumos, and Scott H. Biram and Restavrant are at Tractor Tavern. The weekend kicks off with Father John Misty and Aaron Embry at Neumos, and Los Straitjackets and Miss Mamie Lavona The Exotic Mulatta and Her White Boy Band at Tractor Tavern on Friday night. On Saturday, The Shins and Washed Out are at Paramount Theatre, The Raveonettes and Melody’s Echo Chamber are at Neumos, and Wheedle’s Groove is with Acapulco Gold at Neptune Theatre. Sunday night wraps up with Austin’s Ringo Deathstarr, along with Black Nite Crash, Vibragun, and Jetman Jetteam at Comet Tavern, and finally Zambri and Song Sparrow Research at Tractor Tavern.
