Live Around Town This Week

If you didn’t get too worn out from City Arts, we’ve got some fun choices ahead this week. We’ve got the 2012 Earshot Jazz Festival with Bobby Previte’s Silent Way Project and Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble at Triple Door on Monday, and then Flying Lotus, Teebs, and Jeremiah Jae at Neptune Theatre on Tuesday. Things are a little more active on Wednesday with Cult of Youth and King Dude downstairs at Barboza, while The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and Millionyoung are upstairs at Neumos. The big show of the night is at WaMu Theater with Snow Patrol and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. On Thursday, the  Earshot Jazz Festival continues, this time with Philip Glass, Foday Musa Suso and Adam Rudolph at the Kirkland Performance Center. Other Lives and Indians are at Neptune Theatre, and Crystal Castles, HEALTH, and Kontravoid are at Showbox Sodo. Friday night kicks off the weekend with Balmorhea and Ghosts I’ve Met at Columbia City Theater, and Menomena at Showbox at the Market. You’re bound to see a few costumes out this weekend. On Saturday night, Dan Deacon, Height With Friends, Chester Endersby Gwazda, and Alan Resnick are at Neptune Theatre, and a great show with Daughter and Choir of Young Believers at Barboza. You can also check out Kithkin, Tea Cozies, Erik Blood, and Charms at Columbia City Theater. Kathy Mattea is at Meany Hall, and the Earshot Jazz Festival continues with Staff Benda Bilili at Town Hall. Sunday has Bowerbirds with Strands of Oak at Neumos, and the most fun choice all weekend: The KEXP Halloween Kids Dance Party with John Richards, Darek Mazzone, Larry Rose, and DJ El Toro at Tractor Tavern.
