Live Video: Sudden Weather Change

We’ve been posting a lot of Icelandic music this week as we prepare for our broadcast during Iceland Airwaves next week. Starting on Wednesday, October 31, KEXP will again bring you an amazing variety of performances from mostly Icelandic bands, live from KEX Hostel in Reykjavik. We also were fortunate to host several Icelandic artists recently here in Seattle for the third annual Reykjavik Calling showcase. Already, we’ve featured two of them on the KEXP Blog — Ásgeir Trausti and Apparat Organ Quartet — and here’s Sudden Weather Change, one of the first bands we ever recorded in Iceland, back in 2009, now with a more fully realized sound that might remind you a bit of Fugazi if they were a post-rock band! Check out the videos from their in-stuido performance at KEXP below and be sure to tune in to KEXP’s broadcast from Iceland Airwaves next week!
