Live Video: High Highs at CMJ

High Highs are a band of complex origins. They’re originally from Sydney, Australia, but are currently based in New York. Lead singer Jack Milas provides the acoustic guitar and earnest lyricism while Oli Chang brings the ethereal synths. Together, they’ve crafted some quietly beautiful melodies capable of moving listeners (or at least this one) to tears. While they’ve yet only a self-titled debut EP (their debut album is due early next year), they proved to be one of the more popular and enchanting groups to perform at KEXP’s live broadcast during the 2012 CMJ Music Marathon from the CMJ Union @ Union Square Ballroom.
