Today, following the Morning Show, we are featuring only songs by women
On the Morning Show today, John Richards is hosting his annual “Mom Show,” remembering and honoring his mom and all the loved ones in our community that we’ve lost. Following this heartfelt show, all day long DJs Cheryl Waters, Kevin Cole, Darek Mazzone, and Larry Rose will feature exclusively female artists to coincide with a campaign hosted by the Seattle Art Museum and the current exhibit, Elles: SAM, Singular Works by Seminal Women Artists, commemorating great women in our community. The museum will also be unveiling the Wall of Women, a special recognition wall that honors the inspirational women who have shaped our lives and our community.
To supplement the DJs’ playlists today, we’ve gathered our own playlist of songs celebrating women, though not necessarily by women, as you’ll be hearing all day today. So before the women completely take over, check out some of our picks celebrating them and be sure to tune in all day today to hear what Cheryl, Kevin, Darek, and Larry have to play:
