Irish band Little Green Cars have been making music as a group since they were 15 years old, and they play like it -- their confident harmonies and folksy performance show an enthusiastic group who takes a youthful delight in singing and playing together. Their energy is infectious, and the songs are catchy and tender alt-country that manages to be fresh-faced without being too sentimental or light. Little Green Cars sound as much from the UK as they do from Brooklyn. This vibrant 7-song set at CMJ, which includes their current single out on Glassnote “The John Wayne”, showcases the group’s rich harmonies and energy. Their debut is set to be released on Glassnote Records next year, and is produced by Markus Dravs, who also worked with Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire, and Coldplay.
