Live Around Town This Week

Brandi Carlile will perform three nights with Seattle Symphony at Benaroya

Things are slowing down this week with Thanksgiving on Thursday and the busiest shopping day of the year on Friday. If you need a few distractions, there are still some good choices for you. On Tuesday, there’s a Red Cross benefit for Hurricane Sandy at Palace Ballroom with an auction, music from DJ El Toro, and some amazing food. Delicate Steve and Dana Buoy are at Vera Project, the Taj Mahal Trio starts the first of two days at Jazz Alley, and Warren Miller’s “Flow State” starts the first of two days at Kirkland Performance Center. Just before Turkey Day on Wednesday, Bryan John Appleby, Pollens, and Shenandoah Davis are at Tractor Tavern, and Brent Amaker & The Rodeo, Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground, Atomic Bombshell Bunny, and Vox Mod are at the Triple Door. The day after Thanksgiving on Friday, Brandi Carlile starts the first of three days with the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall, and Zoe Muth & The Lost High Rollers, Joy Mills, and The Witness are at Tractor Tavern. Kick off you’re post holiday weekend on Saturday night with Reignwolf, The Young Evils, and The Grizzled Mighty at Neptune Theatre and close it out on Sunday with World Party and Martin Harley at the Triple Door, and Punch Brothers at Neptune Theatre. Here’s the full list of recommended shows for the week:
