- Local Natives will be releasing Hummingbird on January 29th and today dropped a video for the single “Breakers”. The song is as full of harmony as ever, and the video features band members rolling, falling, and stumbling backwards along the coast, sand flying. [Pitchfork]
- Tanlines released a video for their “Not the Same” - although the video features as score of different instruments you’ll find that actually all the players, and directors, are the same. Watch below. [Stereogum]
- Soundgarden performed live on Jimmy Kimmel last night supporting their new album King Animal. As a bonus to the show they also performed “Been Away Too Long” - the single from the album. [Stereogum]
- Vancouver could just be a city of punks if Nu Sensae and White Lung have anything to say about it - White Lung dropped this VHS warped in the sun home movie style video for their “Glue”. With horses running across the screen and the girls shaking their hair/fists at the crowds/camera, it’s pretty well worth a watch. Plus White Lung will be at Chop Suey this Thursday. [Stereogum]
- Yes - all of the news today is videos! Nosaj Thing teamed up with Kazu Makino of Blonde Redhead to create “Eclipse/Blue” as well as The Creator’s Project to create the mesmerizing video that goes along with it. The vocals are just what we love about Blonde Redhead - high and haunting - and the video features dancers amidst a wall of CGI effects. [Stereogum]
- In other news, you can stream Prince Rama‘s “So Destroyed (Mark McGuire remix)” (That’s McGuire of Emeralds) at Fader, upstate New York indie-popsters Railbird‘s new EP Lucky at Impose, and T.I. and Andre 3000‘s new single “Sorry” at Gorilla vs. Bear.
