It’s no wonder Night Moves chose Thom Monahan to rerecord their self-released debut, Colored Emotions. The young Minneapolis band shares that same western cosmic sensibility of the bands he has produced in the past - Vetiver, Beachwood Sparks, Devendra Banhart, and his own previous band, Pernice Brothers - and now, with Monahan’s touch, Night Moves has committed to record the psych-pop sound that has made them a Twin City favorite for the past few years. Domino Records wisely launched the group and sent them into a wider orbit. While on tour, the band stopped by KEXP to perform and share their blissed-out pop melodies live on the Morning Show with John.
