There are always one or two potentially great albums that get snuck in at the eleventh hour (or twelfth month), just as music critics and fans are putting together their year end lists. (Did you vote for yours yet, by the way?) Our Music Director, Don Yates, couldn't wait to hear the new Big Boi album in hopes that it might be one of his favorites. If you're a fan of Big Boi's work with Ou OutKast, you'll want to check this out, especially as it features on several tracks contributions by Phantogram, as well as other KEXP faves like Little Dragon, Killer Mike and Wavves, among more expected guests like T.I. and Ludacris. Also out this week, The Game reps the West Coast with his latest, Jesus Piece, featuring Kanye, Common, and Kendrick Lamar, and many others. As far as end of the year gifts sets, this week you can buy your Secret Santa a deluxe copy of Interpol stellar debut, Turn on The Bright Lights: 10th Anniversary Edition (ten years, can you believe it?) or the 30th Anniversary Edition of The Jam's classic, The Gift.

You'll find these and plenty of other gift ideas for yourself and your friends and family in record stores today.

  • Big Boi - Mama Told Me (ft. Kelly Rowland)

  • from Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors on Def Jam
  • The Game - Holy Water

  • from Jesus Piece on Interscope Records
  • Interpol - Obstacle 1 (Live)
