Live Video: Tegan and Sara

Perhaps no other duo has collaborated, toured with or been covered by as wide a range of artists as Tegan and Sara. Canadian twin sisters Tegan and Sara Quin, who have been making music together since they were in high school, have toured with the likes of Neil Young, whose label they were first signed to, The Pretenders, Ryan Adams, The Black Keys, Ben Folds, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, and many others. The White Stripes most famously covered their 2005 single, “Walking with a Ghost”, but it’s the sisters themselves who built a cult following into a popular one. Now 13 years into their career and living separate lives, the twins have never been “Closer”. Recently, Tegan and Sara released a song of that name as the first single from their upcoming, seventh LP, Heartthrob. Right around the same time, they played it live in the KEXP studio during a special acoustic performance. Watch the videos now for “Closer” and a few other of their best known songs:
