2013 is going to be a great year for Seattle music, with so many new bands on the verge of blowing up. Seattle trio Dude York stands out among them with a promising 5-song EP released last June. Though band founders Peter Richards and Andrew Hall are such fans of their male moniker as to label their previous EPs Gangs of Dude York and Escape From Dude York, they’ve recently added Claire England, formerly of Brite Futures, on bass. Together, they create punchy garage pop that never forgets that music should be fun!
This Saturday, Dude York will one of four great bands on the bill of our latest Audioasis Community Partnerships Benefit show at The Sunset, benefitting Food Lifeline and also featuring Don’t Talk To The Cops, Stephanie, and Wimps.
