Live Around Town This Week

The weather seems to breaking and the shows are heating up in Seattle. This week there’s a little something for everyone. Things start off on a high note Tuesday night with Niki & The Dove, Vacationer, and Nightmare Fortress at Crocodile. Wednesday night, San Diego rockers Pinback are at Showbox at the Market, The Good Wives, Telekinesis, and Aaron Kirby & Blackheart Honeymoon are at the Crocodile, and Edmund Wayne, Song Sparrow Research, and Simon Kornelis are at Tractor Tavern. More and more choices as the week goes on. Thursday night you can choose from Big Business and Helms Alee at the Crocodile, La Luz, Yuni in Taxco, and Invisible Shivers at Columbia City Theater, The Great Um, The Hoot Hoots, Julia Massey & The 5 Finger Discount at Tractor Tavern, or S, Pony Time, and Chastity Belt at Black Lodge. The weekend heats up with plenty of action on Friday night. Stag, The Purrs, and Little Hearts play downstairs at Barboza, while Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, and DJ Big Wiz play upstairs at Neumos. Black Nite Crash, Slowbird, Gibraltar, and Here Come Dots are at High Dive, Lonesome Shack, Betsy Olsen, and Country Lips are at Columbia City Theater. Need more choices? School of Rock: Stop Making Sense is at Triple Door, Cordaviva is at the Royal Room, and there’s a Heartland Benefit with Mega Bog, Koda Sequoia, FF, and 199999 at Heartland. On Saturday, you’ve got Durge Fest at Barboza with The Valley, The Springboards, and Lights from Space or The Trust & Decibel & Hush Hush with Kid Smpl, DJAO, Domokos, D’Nelski, Justice & Treasure, Nordic Soul, and Sounds in Silence at the Lo-Fi. Sunday closes with a highly anticipated Little Big Show #5 with The Walkmen and Father John Misty at Neptune Theatre. Check out the full list of recommended events below:
