Okay, let the “slappin da bass” jokes commence! Icelandic disco outfit Boogie Trouble get down to some serious grooves (in the funnest possible way) and really showcase the talent of bass player Ingibjörg Elsa Turchi (also of Rökkurró) as you’ll see in the videos. But everyone in Boogie Trouble is a disco star. Guitarist Sindri Freyr Steinsson lays down some slinky lines to keyboardist Jóhann Vilbergsson’s (Kiriyama Family) hip-shaking grooves, while singer Klara Arnalds (sister to Ólöf Arnalds) channels the soulful sirens of the 70′s. Even without an album yet to their name, Boogie Trouble have started an Icelandic dance revolution that will make even former disco demolitionists smile.
