In honor of the late Jason Molina, Graveface Records has announced the release of a tribute album (due out on April 23). Weary Engine Blues has an impressive roster of singer/songwriters -including John Vanderslice, Will Oldham (Bonnie 'Prince' Billy), Phil Elverum (The Microphones), Mark Kozelek, and many more. All of the profits made from the album and screen print sales will go to Molina's family for funeral costs. You can order both HERE. The Strokes have released the B side of their upcoming Record Store Day (April 20!!) 7-inch. Be careful, "Fast Animals" is a peppy little number that will instantly get stuck in your head. This will be an exciting week for The Strokes. Today is also the eve of the release of their fifth studio album Comedown Machine, so they are taking this opportunity to generate even more buzz. On May 28 Mount Kimbie will drop their sophomore album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth. The London duo is offering a taste of what's to come with the single "Made To Stray". The track has deep, haunting lyrics wrapped in sharp percussion and a solid electric rhythm that will have you both dancing and pondering. [CoS]

James Blake has graced the world with another single from his upcoming Overgrown album. As with many of his previously released tracks, this one proves to be raw and emotional storytelling. A live version of "Our Love Comes Back" is available to download for free through Amazon UK HERE. [SPIN]

Seattle's La Luz premiered a video for "Call Me In The Day" from their most recent cassette released on Burger Records, Damp Face. Just like their particular brand of harmony filled drifting surf rock, the video is lacking gimmicks - "It's a video that's all about feeling," said director Bobby McHugh. Made on a budge of nothing, the video follows Shana Cleveland on an introspective winter walk through Index, WA while the rest of the band shotgun beers and drive around in truck beds. Brother duo Inc. have a new video for "Black Wings" off their most recent album No World - the video is an exercise in 90s gothwear set to the bubbling track. They might spin chains and wear all black - but the track is far softer than all that, it's industrial but the r&b influence lends it emotion and in a way that's reminiscent of The xx. [Stereogum]

Is it summer yet? To match Seattle's recent sunny streak comes Toro Y Moi's new video for the synthy track "Never Matter." Setting up a video camera and handing over the headphones to anyone walking by, director Steve Daniels was able to collect a series of reactions to the song, from all out dancing to a baffled man in a cowboy hat.
