  • Just a couple weeks away from the release of Floating Coffin, Thee Oh Sees have dropped a new video for the album closer they shared with us last month "Minotaur". And, wonderfully, the video actually features a Minotaur holding a young woman captive in a deep dark dungeon in the forest, where two fearless knights travel to do battle. It's a pretty awesome and ridiculous low-budget fantasy mini-epic of a video -- complete with gore, fighting, and anachronistically tattooed knights and beasts. Check it out below. Floating Coffin is out April 16 on Castle Face Records. [Stereogum]

  • More music from the Bay Area, this time from Ty Segall's new project Fuzz. "Sleigh Ride" is a muddy, fuzzy, howling track whose name implies the opposite kind of experience the song provides. The 7" of the song will be released with "You Won't See Me" on April 16 on In The Red. Larry Hardy, the owner of In The Red also announced that Fuzz will be going into the studio with them this spring to record their debut LP. You can stream the track at Spin.com now. [Spin]

  • Cold War Kids have made their new LP available for streaming a week ahead of the official release date. Dear Miss Lonely Hearts is the band's first since 2011, and their fourth overall, and will be released on April 2 by Downtown Records. Check it out and pre-order the album here. [CoS]

  • In the new video for "Gossamer", Passion Pit tells the frenzied emotional story of a girl's past romances in a dance-heavy, highly stylized and visually stunning directing effort from Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (aka DANIELS). The whole thing is maybe heavy-handed for some tastes, but it's a pretty incredible piece of film-work worth checking out. [Stereogum]
