Hood To Hood 2013

Each year, KEXP descends upon the winning neighborhood of our annual Hood to Hood Challenge during our Spring Fundraising Drive, and this year, Seattle’s University District won decisively. To celebrate their victory, we are broadcasting live on Friday, April 19th, from the University of Washington’s Red Square as part of Husky Fest. Join us between 6:00am and 6:00pm as DJs John Richards, Cheryl Waters and Kevin Cole spin live and local bands perform all day long. Plus, you can enjoy discounts at local businesses and KEXP’s Community Partnerships Benefit show at Cafe Racer and much more!

Here’s the lineup:

  • 7:30am – Jon Russell (The Head and the Heart), Damien Jurado and Tomo Nakayama (Grand Hallway)
  • 9:30am – Pollens
  • 11:30am – Kithkin
  • 1:30pm – Dude York
  • 3:30pm – Kingdom Crumbs
  • 5:30pm – Ravenna Woods

These performances are open to the public, but if you can’t join us at the University of Washington, be sure to tune on April 19th! Find out more here.
