What a fantastic time of the year for shows in Seattle! As the weather heats up, so does the frequency of shows it seems. With just about something for everyone this week, we start off on Monday night with yet another great evening with Mudhoney, this time at Easy Street Records. Jamie Lidell, Empress Of, and Ludwig Persik are at Neumos and Talib Kweli and The Physics are performing at the Crocodile. On Tuesday, get ready for one of two nights with Fatoumata Diawara at Jazz Alley, and then jump into the Swing Into Spring Soirée with Honey.Moon.Tree, Adra Boo, Evan Flory-Barnes, As Above, Jasper T & The Homies and More at the Royal Room, or San Cisco performing with Chaos Chaos at Neumos. Wednesday night, a fantastic show with the lovely Bomba Estereo performing with Theoretics at Tractor Tavern, Billy Bragg and Kim Churchill are at Neptune Theatre, and Lord Huron and Papa are at Neumos. On Thursday night, come get rowdy with My Goodness and The Comettes at the Triple Door, or head to the Crocodile for Daedelus, Ryan Hemsworth, Two Fresh, and Samo Sound Boy. Great setup for the weekend on Friday night with Poliça at Neptune Theatre, or Kinski, Mark McGuire, and Bali Girls at Sunset Tavern. Want something different? Seattle Rock Orchestra is performing the first of two nights of Chamber Rock, featuring Kithkin, Pollens, Matt & Mike Gervais, and Led to Sea at Columbia City Theater. Saturday is a busy day featuring OMD and Diamond Rings at Showbox at the Market, a great show with Alt-J and Hundred Waters at Neptune Theatre, Low and Thalia Zedek are at the Crocodile, and Seattle Rock Orchestra continues Chamber Rock at Columbia City Theater, this time with Joan Van Deusen (Lonely Forest), Sam Miller (Jenny Invert), Tea Cozies, and Robbie Johnston. All great choices on Sunday with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Sharon Van Etten at Paramount Theatre, Kathleen Edwards, John Roderick, and David Bazan at Showbox Sodo, Lucero and Langhorne Slim at the Crocodile, and Parenthetical Girls, Jherek Bischoff, and Bandolier at Chop Suey.
