The National have a whole lot of new stuff on their plate - the release of their sixth studio album, Trouble Will Find Me, a new documentary, and a MOMA exhibit - just to name a few. Last night, to promote all of these ventures, they went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and debuted two new songs. Take a listen to "Sea of Love" and "I Need My Girl" below. [CoS]

Thom Yorke's music project Atoms for Peace have released a remix of producer Four Tet's song "Pyramid". Yorke manages to kick the already very electric song up a notch, and make it a thumping dance number. Yorke and Four Tet have collaborated before (in 2011 on the tracks "Ego" and "Mirror") and I really hope this trend continues. [Stereogum]

Scottish indie pop-rockers the Pastels will share their new album, Slow Summits, on May 28 (their first in well over a decade) and they're offering us a little tease in the form of the music video for the first single "Check My Heart". The video fills you with an cheerful feeling - its got adorable kids frolicking around and fun dance party - that fits perfectly with the upbeat vocals and playful beats. [Pitchfork]

Nearly a year after the song's release. Crystal Castles, have unveiled the video for "Affection". It was filmed in clips while the band was on tour through South America and then eventually all edited together by Stephen Agnew. The video makes me feel like I'm clubbing in a dream filled with static. Odd, but entertaning. Crystal Castles will be at the Moore Theatre on Tuesday! Get your tickets HERE. [Pitchfork]

Despite is meteoric rise to fame, Mackelmore hasn't forgotten his friends, family, and most importantly his fans. Yesterday, he stopped by a hospital in Vermont to visit a fan, Sam, who was recently diagnosed with cancer and too ill to attend the show at Saint Michael’s College. As Macklemore says on his website, the ability to meet fans like Sam, going through hard times of their own, "bring me back to a place of gratitude and give life a tangible value, beyond the instant gratification that my job provides." He adds in his very touching account, "I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet Sam and his parents today. Made me feel like a real person. Beyond the music and the accolades, at the core that is what I want out of this life. To feel. And Sam reminded me of that." [source]
