  • The wait is over. Finally, Nine Inch Nails have given us a new single to sink our teeth into. "Come Back Haunted" has an addictive chorus that longtime fans of the band will devour hungrily. Their new album, Hesitation Marks, will drop on September 3 via Columbia Records. Look out for, NIN in November when their crazy international tour will bring them to Key Arena. [Pitchfork]

  • The xx have released the video for "Fiction," a melancholy track off their album Coexist (out now via Young Turks). The video follows bassist Oliver Sim as he takes an impulsive midnight stroll. There's not a whole lot going on, but the black and white element really cranks up the mystique. [Stereogum]

  • Foxygen's Jonathan Rando will drop his first solo EP, Law and Order, in September. The first taste of his work comes in the form of this shiny new track "Faces." The song has a nostalgic feel to it and makes me reminisce about the bubbly music of the 60s and 70s. [Stereogum]

  • Portland rock band Portugal. The Man stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to promote the release of their seventh studio album, Evil Friends. They performed their single "Purple Yellow Red and Blue" which features a heavy instrumental sound and John Gourley's amazing falsetto. The band is currently on a North American tour and will end up in Seattle at Showbox at The Market on July 17. [CoS]
