King Khan and the Shrines are back at it again - this time with track "Born To Die" and a string of show dates! Supposedly about the "state of the world we live in today" the upcoming album is a psychedelically exciting as you would expect from a band that jams as hard as the King and the Shrines. Can't wait to see them again, headdresses and dancing and all when they hit the West Coast.[Stereogum]

David Lynch and Lykke Li have unveiled a totally calming video for their track "I'm Waiting Here" - it's a bit melancholic and as Lynch himself says "has a doo-wop sort of thing going on, but in a way it's far removed from the 50s." Lykke Li's voice is clear and transfixing, as the track slides along through the desert following the setting sun. [Pitchfork]

Today you can stream Natasha Kmeto's Crisis via Hype Machine - the Portland producer is as much known for her smile and danceable beats on stage as she is for the complexity and depth of her recordings. Crisis is an amazing album - Kmeto's soulful voice is at times clear and just as often echoed, compressed, and looped through her R&B bred future-style synth beats.

Xiu Xiu and Lawrence English have new tracks via the Less Artists More Condos series by Famous Class - Xiu Xiu's track is as abrasive, experimental, and screeching as normal, and is paired with a floating ambient twister by English. Despite what you might think going into listening to these two, the work amazingly together, Xiu Xiu setting the mood and possibly hurting your ears, with Lawrence providing a partially soothing place in which to expand on everything you've just been through. While the video is all destruction and apocalypse - Young Galaxy's track "New Summer" is basically all summer sunshine and shade. Dream pop at it's most rhythmic and catchy self, the track is as easy to listen to as the video is possibly hard to watch - there's definitely beauty in destruction though, especially as a new summer is on it's way.[GvsB]

La Luz is putting out a 7" on Suicide Squeeze, and they've released the A side "Brainwash"- a melancholic hazy ooh ahh filled single. An organ plays in the distance as the girls voices lay dreamily over a track that feels suited for a foggy summer morning . [Suicide Squeeze]

Kisses are a band from LA - that put out a very LA centered album, Kids in L.A., and today you can watch their cinematic video for "Huddle". Is the band being broken up by the possibility that one of it's members will go to college? Kisses explains their influences, mostly 80s teen movies and the relativity of life, over at Dazed Digital.
