  • Neko Case will drop her new album, The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You, on September 3 via ANTI- Records. She previously shared the track "Man", but today we have the lyric video for a haunting new song called "Night Still Comes." Her beautiful voice and thoughtful lyrics create an intimate feeling that you can easily get lost in. [Pitchfork]

  • Later this year, Midlake will release their first album since 2010 and the departure of previous frontman Tim Smith. Guitarist Eric Pulido took over lead vocals, and now our first taste of the new LP (due out November 5) is the title track, "Antiphon." It's a stunning song with a powerful bassline. Check it out below. [Stereogum]

  • Alt-J's drummer Thom Green is offering his latest remix, a lovely reworking of the first single from Moby's upcoming LP, Innnocents. "A Case For Shame" features the gentle but emotionally gripping voice of Al Spx (a.k.a. Cold Specks) held aloft by Moby's whirling piano melody and some very Alt-J-esque percussive textures. Listen to the remix exclusively on Line of Best Fit.

  • Austin psychedelic rock outfit White Denim have shared the lyric video for their fresh, energetic track, "Pretty Green." The video features the interesting combination of a floating mouth and a staggering variety of green vegetables. The visuals might be strange, but the vibe of the music is excellent. This will be an instant summer playlist staple. [Stereogum]

  • Today we have the lead single from Cage the Elephant's upcoming Melophobia (out on October 8 from RCA). The indie rock quintet debuted the little moresel, "Come A Little Closer," on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show and fans are already eating it up. It's not quite as gritty as their previous material, but "Come A Little Closer" has a psychedelic sound that fits the band perfectly. [CoS]
