Nearly 25 years after influential Seattle grunge band Mudhoney released their debut album on Sub Pop Records, the group rounded out their hometown tour during a busy year-- releasing their 9th album, playing on top of the Space Needle and at Sub Pop's Silver Jubilee along with a slew of international events-- by headlining last Friday's Concert at the Mural, presented by KEXP and Seattle Center. Joining Mudhoney on the lineup were Seattle's impressive blues rock duo The Grizzled Mighty. Guitarist Ryan Granger was accompanied by drummer Whitney Petty, sporting the flashy red cowboy boots seen in their "Wallflower" music video. The local gathering was completed by pop trio Dude York out of Walla Walla. Get a taste of the energy at Friday's concert with photos below, and see the full set here. KEXP's last Concert at the Mural of the year is this Friday, featuring Vox Mod, Natasha Kmeto and Lusine!
