  • Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs has written a song for Spike Jonze’s new film Her, which stars Joaquin Phoenix as a man who falls in love with a computer. The track is called “Moon Song” and will performed in the film as a duet by Phoenix and his electronic love (voiced by Scarlett Johansson). Check it out below. [Stereogum]

  • So far we’ve heard a few songs off of The Arctic Monkeys‘ upcoming AM, but today we have a non-album track to jam to. “Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You” has a pulsating bassline and amazing guitar solo that any Monkeys fan will love. [CoS]

  • Anna Calvi has debuted the video for her powerful song “Eliza.” The track will be released as a single along withe the B-side, “A Kiss To Your Twin,” on October 8. Calvi has described “Eliza” as a strong and beautiful woman who reminds you of a part of yourself that has got lost somehow, and striving to become that person again.” [Pitchfork]

  • There’s nothing quite as exciting as when a band steps outside of their comfort zone to bring us great music. Scottish rockers Frightened Rabbit did exactly that when they decided to cover Jessie Ware’s hit “Wildest Moments.” They took an already amazing song and made it their own. Kudos, guys. [CoS]
