  • Oneohtrix Point Never, a.k.a. Daniel Lopatin, has shared an killer, new psychedelic track called “Zebras.” The Brooklyn based musician never ceases to amaze with the complexity of his music. This should tide fans over until the release of his album R Plus Seven on October 1. [Stereogum]

  • Kanye West will kick off his Yeezus tour in Seattle at Key Arena next month. This is his first solo tour in five years, but he won’t be completely alone. Kendrick Lamar will join the journey across North America, which will last until December. Tickets go on sale next Friday, the 13. Spooky. [CoS]
  • While not all covers were created equal, I have to give credit to arists that support other artists. During their appearance on BBC Radio 1, Queens of the Stone Age covered Arctic Monkeys’ new song “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High.” This acoustic version may not be as smooth as the original, but Josh Homme doesn’t seem too worried about it. • It’s been two years since we’ve heard anything new from Coldplay, but that ends today. The band added their signature, dreamy style to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack with the single “Atlas.” It’s the quintessential Coldplay song that makes those last couple of years seem like the blink of an eye. • TV on the Radio stopped by Late Show with David Letterman last night to promote their new song “Mercy.” Their performance is so effortlessly kick-ass and few bands sound so great live. Letterman would have to agree with me, check out his reaction at the end. [Pitchfork]
