  • Arcade Fire has released the new interactive video for “Reflektor”. Like previous videos made with director Vincent Morisset, this one pulls you in by asking you to control the reflection and special effects. (Be warned: the video only works with Google Chrome, but is very much worth the effort.) The video centers on a woman who “who travels between her world and our own.” Watch at And be sure to listen to KEXP tonight as we join stations across the country in debuting “Reflector” on air on 9/9 at 9PM PST.
  • Here it is: The payoff of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis clogging a busy intersection on Capitol Hill late July while filming on top of Dick’s Drive-In… their video for “White Walls”, featuring ScHoolboy Q and Hollis and even a cameo by Sir Mix-a-Lot:

  • Matt Monandile’s Ducktails is set to release more new music this year, following The Flower Lane in January. “Honey Tiger Eyes” is the first single from Wish Hotel and has more of his lazy dreamy summer day feeling. It will have a very limited clear vinyl pressing of only 100. [Stereogum]

  • Mazzy Star will be releasing Seasons of Your Day in late September and have announced a string of tour dates to support that album. Seasons is their first album in 17 years – and a tour where they will play the album is not something fans will want to miss. Checkout all the tour dates at Pitchfork.
  • Franz Ferdinand teamed up with director Diane Martel, who apparently instructed front-man Alex Kapranos to grow a mustache and get very very creepy for their “Evil Eye” video. Over a montage of old school gory film clips, the poppy spooky track plays like a twisted soundtrack. Not for the faint of heart, the gooey bloody video features one decapitation after another, with the addition of maggots of course. [Stereogum]
