  • It’s been a while since Phantogram has graced us with fresh material, but the wait is over. Today we have a blazing new track called “Black Out Days” that will satiate even the hungriest of fans. There’s no news of any upcoming release, but let’s all cross our fingers. [Stereogum]

  • Arctic Monkeys appeared on BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge and chose to cover Drake’s single “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” Honestly, I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. See what you think, listen below. [CoS]

  • Apparently, Twin Shadow has decided to break into the video game market...and who knew it could be so amazing? The Brookyln-based, new wave artist will be featured on the upcoming soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto V. “Old Love/New Love” sounds like a fun track to back you up while stealing cars, or whatever happens in that game. [Pitchfork]

  • New Zealand singer/songwriter Lorde, whose hit “Royals” is currently reigning over the charts, has offered up yet another fantastic new single. “Team” features the perfect juxtaposition of her angelic voice and a killer, pulsating beat. Lorde isn’t afraid to give a little attitude either. She sings, “I’m kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air.” [CoS]

  • Gambles, aka Matthew Sisken, will drop his debut album, Trust, next month. He’s shared the music video for the album’s first single, “So I Cry Out.” The video creates a clever and heartbreaking narrative that fits perfectly with Sisken’s melancholy lyrics. [Stereogum]
