Over the past several years, KEXP and Iceland have developed a mutual relationship of sharing and caring, but no doubt we have been the greater beneficiaries considering the wealth of excellent bands we discover over there. At the end of October, we’ll begin our third year in a row broadcasting live during Iceland Airwaves and our fifth year of bringing KEXP listeners the latest bands from Iceland.
To further this relationship and to bring more Icelandic music closer to you here in Seattle, we’ve teamed up with Iceland Naturally to present Reykjavik Calling, a free annual showcase that pairs artists from Iceland’s burgeoning music scene and Seattle artists you know and love.
For our fourth annual showcase, at Neumos on October 12, we present a stylistically varied lineup featuring Iceland’s Sin Fang, Hermigervill and Borko performing alongside Seattle’s own Kithkin, Vox Mod and Kaylee Cole.
Admission to the Reykjavik Calling showcase at Neumos is, again, FREE! and limited to venue capacity. It is 21-and-over, so find a sitter for the kids if you need to because this show is going to be great! Doors are at 8PM. For more information, go here.
Get pumped for the show by watching some videos of the performers here:
